African American Museum

What would it be like to gradually be unable to see clearly or to constantly see little floating dots? Well, unfortunately, as we get older many people start to develop these visual problems.  But, luckily an African American woman, who is a scientist and doctor, created a surgical procedure and device to solve that difficulty. Today you will learn about that woman and you will also make an item that shows what it is like not to see clearly. In other words, have the experience of someone with cataracts. Join us for this fun educational program geared to ages 3-6 years!
