On August 21, 2017, a spectacular total eclipse of the Sun will be visible across the width of the continental U.S. for the first time since 1918. Every state will have at least 60% of the Sun covered by the Moon--including Iowa! Join the Cedar Amateur Astronomers at the Marion Public Library to learn about this special phenomenon before seeing it in August. Every attendee will receive a free pair of solar eclipse glasses.

Join us for a fun-filled night at the library. We'll have s'mores in a bag, table forts and fun family games to play! This is an inside camping expedition, so no need to bring the bug spray, just comfy clothes and an appetite for snacks! All ages are welcome and children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult. This program will last approximately 1 hour.
