This interactive story time is geared for ages 3-5 years (little ones and big kids are welcome, too). Each session will last 30 minutes and will include stories, songs, rhymes and other fun activities.

Marion Public Library offers FREE Summer Meals  for anyone under 18 all summer long. Meals are served Monday - Friday, 11:30 am - 12:00 pm beginning on June 10th. Please note no meals will be served on Thursday, July 4th.    If you would like more information about the program, or if you would like to volunteer, please contact Children's and Family Services Manager, Olivia Stoner via email: ostoner@marionpubliclibrary.org or phone: 319-377-3412.    This program is provided by Horizons.

A traveling touch tank will bring live ocean animals to you! Get ready to get your hands wet and touch some of these animals, courtesy of the Mississippi River Museum (https://www.rivermuseum.com/outreach-programs). This event is a great fit for kids and their families!  There will be an additional showing of this event at 2 p.m.  In order to allow for as many people as possible to get a chance to see these animals, our 1:00 show will be first come, first serve. Children
Join us for this new, ongoing program! Geared toward ages 2-5, all are welcome. These programs will include elements of music, movement and story. On a given day, we may play some parachute games, use stretchy bands, explore noise & music props or take a look at some flannel board stories.  Accomodations made for those with sensory issues: we'll have noise-canceling headphones, picture schedules and fidgets available.

Children
Join us for a fun and social story time geared especially for children ages 0-18 months. We'll read a story and then do bounces and songs to get your baby's mind and body working. We'll then allow everyone to wind down and socialize while playing with fun early literacy toys. This program usually runs about 15-30 minutes.
