Teens
Gear up for some friendly competition at the Marion Public Library! We've got Fortnite and Mario Kart for Nintendo Switch, plus an XBox 360 and Nintendo Wii. We also have awesome board games like Exploding Kittens, Splendor, and more. Want to play Dungeons & Dragons (5th edition)? We've got materials for you to run your own game. Come ready to play.    This program is for 5th - 12th graders only! For other activities the whole family can enjoy together, check out our weekly Family Time program at the library every Monday from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Adults
Council meets in work sesson the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 4:00 in Council Chambers at City Hall. Regular session meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. on the Thursday following each work session. The meeting schedule may change if the scheduled meeting falls on a holiday. Visit the City's website for additional information about the City Council.

"Knot" your average knitting group. All ages and skill levels welcome. Exchange ideas, patterns, yarn, and needles. Knit Wits meets on Thursday evenings. Come share your “purls” of wisdom!

This interactive story time is geared for ages 18 months to 3 years (little ones and big kids are welcome, too). Each session will last 20 minutes and include stories, songs, rhymes and other fun activities.

    Register in advance! Here is the February Menu. This new and innovative cafe' will feature a menu with dishes ranging from turkey and mashed potatoes to pasta and tacos. You are bound to find something to satisfy your taste buds! Programming will be included following lunch (e.g., chronic disease self-management workshops, Tai Chi, stepping on, water aerobics, nutrition counseling, games & socialization, much more!). Come play backyard games at this teens-only event! We’ll have Bags/Cornhole, Hide-and-Go-Seek, relay races, and more. Pizza and snacks will be provided. Preregistration and permission form required. Register for Teen Lock-In: Backyard Games Download a Teen Lock-In: Backyard Games Permission Form or stop by the Information Desk. Completed Permission Forms can be turned into the Information Desk.

Each Saturday morning, at least one City Council member will be in the library's lobby, ready to chat with you about City issues and questions. Please stop by and share your thoughts and opinions! On Farmer's Market dates, Council members will be at the market instead of the library: September 1: Taube Park September 29: Fall Marion Market (on Swamp Fox Weekend)
