You will find a convenient IDOT Kiosk in our lobby where you can renew or replace your driver's license or I.D. card. The kiosk is operated by the IDOT; contact them if you have questions about it

The News page provides an archive of library updates.

The library provides a self-service fax machine in our lobby outside of the meeting rooms. You may use your debit or credit cards, or purchase pre-paid fax cards from the Information Desk. Faxes cost $1.75 for the first page, and $1.00 for subsequent pages. The fax machine is independently owned, so the library cannot provide refunds or technical assistance; should you need help, please call the 800 number on the unit.
Free Wireless Internet Access

The Marion Library provides free Wi-Fi. Just bring in your own laptop, or check out one of ours, and log in from anywhere in the building. The Wi-Fi is unsecured, so no password is necessary. A screen will appear asking you to accept the library's Internet Policy before connecting.

SEED Library
There is a seed library (a free exchange of seeds with the intention of preserving biodiversity) housed in an antique card catalog between the Information Desk and the Large Print collection. The library is named for Feed Iowa First founder Sonia Kendrick, who passed away on the spring equinox in 2018. Sonia was instrumental in beginning this partnership between MPL, Iowa BIG and Feed Iowa First.
Google Cardboard Glasses
There are 10 pairs of these glasses set aside for classroom use and 10 pairs available for individual use. Completion of a form is all that is required to check a pair out. They can then be used to access various virtual reality experiences.
