Teen Japanese Cooking Class

Thursday, July 26, 2018, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Are you interested in anime, manga, or Japanese culture? Want to learn how to cook some Japanese cuisine? Come to the library on Thursday, July 26th from 3-5pm to create and sample delicious cultural food with a local Hy-Vee dietician. Registration required.

Teen Musical Murder Mystery Lock-In

Friday, July 27, 2018, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Put on your detective cap and help solve the mystery: Murder and Mayhem at the Teen Idol Awards! Each participant will be assigned a character for the evening. Costumes are encouraged, and props will be available at the library. No weapons, real or fake, are allowed. Registration and permission form required.

Teen Sundae Competition
Wednesday, August 8, 2018, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
 
Teens: come test your sundae skills! Local judges will decide who has the best ice cream concotions, with awards given in a variety of categories. Registration required.

TCR Improv Class for High Schoolers

Tuesday, August 14, 2018, 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.

Join Theatre Cedar Rapids at the Marion Public Library for a free improv class for teens! Incoming 9th-12th graders will learn the basics of improvisation and get a chance to flex their improv muscles. Yes, and... when is it happening? Tuesday, August 14th from 4:30-6pm. Registration required.

Teens: vote for the movie you want to watch on Tuesday, August 21st from 3-6pm. No need to preregister to attend, but cast your vote, then show up to see who wins--and come hungry for popcorn!

Teen Donut Diorama Day
Friday, August 24, 2018, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
 
Dare to design and devour delicious donut dioramas with local guests from the Marion Police Department. Awards will be given for categories including Most Stable Structure, Most Edible, Most Creative, and more! Open to incoming 5th-12th graders. Registration required.
