Be Part of the Tiny Art Show!
The Metro Library Network – Cedar Rapids Public Library, Hiawatha Public Library, and Marion Public Library – as well as the North Liberty Library, are coming together for this year’s Tiny Art Show!
This project, hosted in partnership with the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, celebrates art and creativity through creating a masterpiece on a 3″ x 3″ canvas, which will be shared with the community this fall. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate.
Tiny Art kits will be available for pickup at the library’s Information Desk beginning Tuesday, September 2. Supplies are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Art must be returned by 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 21 to be prepared for display. Tiny art will be displayed at the library during the month of October. Visit each library’s art display to see all the local talent!
The art will then be displayed at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, 410 Third Ave. SE, from the Tiny Museum Grand opening on Thursday, November 6 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. until Tuesday, November 18.
Need inspiration or want to create your Tiny Art with others? Join us at one of our Tiny Art Workshops! We will provide the supplies you need to create your masterpiece. All workshops will be held in the 2nd floor Creative Commons. Registration for these workshops is not required.
Workshop Dates and Times:
Wednesday, September 10 from 1:30 – 3 p.m.
Saturday, September 13 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Tuesday, September 16 from 5 – 6:30 p.m.
