Summer Library Program

Activities and programs begin June 3, 2024!

Beginning June 3, MPL will host a range of free activities for children, teens, and adults to encourage and support a love of reading and the library. This year’s theme – Read, Renew, Repeat – invites patrons of all ages to read as a form of learning, enjoyment, and self-improvement. Check out our list of events, reading challenges, and other activities!

Reading Component

Reading dates for this year’s program start on June 1 (online via Beanstack) and June 3 (in-person registrants). Track your reading through your Beanstack account, or pick up a paper log or bookmark from the library.

SLP Reading Guidelines

Reading Guidelines

The SLP Reading Component will begin on June 1 for Beanstack users, and June 3 for in-person registrants. Patrons can track their reading through Beanstack, or with a paper log or bookmark from the library. Beanstack entries and paper logs/bookmarks can be turned in from July 27 – August 9 for prizes.

End-of-SLP Event

Celebrate another fun summer library program with us! Patrons of all ages are invited to our End-of-SLP Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, August 6 from 3:30 – 5 p.m. in the Community Room.

SLP Community Guidelines

Guidelines & Check-In Dates

The SLP Community Component will begin on June 3 and has two check-ins for patrons. Stop by the library to pick up the following giveaways during the following periods:

  • 1st Check In Period: June 3 – June 30. Patrons can pick up their first giveaway.
  • 2nd Check In Period: July 1 – July 26. Patrons can pick up their second giveaway.

BONUS: patrons can turn in in their reading log from July 27 – August 9 for prizes!
